About my work…

Ingerlise Vikne is dealing with a deeply humanistic art. It is art and paintings that seek to touch us, engage us and hold up a mirror so we become capable of dealing with the problem.
With her paintings she grants the human body the renaissance as an artistic motif it so truly deserves. Not in a nostalgic and retrospective manner, but by questioning relevant issues of today, and doing it with great empathy.

The paintings are made on canvas from Belgian linen using acrylic or oil paint, charcoal, pastels, chalk and pencil.
